You will need to list and itemise the value of your goods by completing an inventory declaration. If you prefer, you may simply declare the total value of your goods.
When estimating the value of your goods: If you have selected Replacement Cost cover, ensure that you estimate the cost of new goods of similar type. If you have selected Market Value Cover, estimate the amount your goods would be worth.
Remember that if you underestimate the value by less than 80%, the amount of your claim may be reduced.
You can obtain an indicative quote for the insurance by advising an estimated total value of your property without completing the Inventory Declaration form, or you can give us a lump sum value.
However, your final quote will be subject to your selected option on the Insurance Declaration. Please read the Product Disclosure Statement for all the insurance benefits available, and make sure you provide the correct values in your list of property, so you have sufficient protection.
Once you have accepted our quote for storage and removal, completed and provided us with the Insurance Declaration and paid us the relevant amount(s) required for the cover you want to access a certificate of insurance will be issued.
